Reaching All Readers: Systematic Interventions for Foundational Literacy
Foundational reading skills are often at the heart of reading difficulties and it is crucial to provide instruction that is research-based, respectful, and age-appropriate to vulnerable groups of students. Educators, school leaders, and parents recognize the urgent need to identify and support students who struggle to read from early to upper elementary and even into middle and high school.
In this session, we’ll reimagine how a systematic approach to literacy intervention can ensure all students master foundational skills by focusing on responsive decision-making through a science of reading lens. Collegial conversations and lesson experiences will ground participants in the research and the appropriate practices that lead to mastery of critical literacy skills.
SIPPS and Small-Group Reading Sets will be raffled off at each event! Must be present to win!
