Event Description

Mississippi SIPPS Coffee Chat Virtual Information Sessions

SIPPS® is a research-based foundational skills program proven to help both new and struggling readers in grades K–12, including English learners and students identified with dyslexia. The program’s systematic scope and sequence provides a structured-literacy approach to instruction through explicit routines focused on phonological awareness, spelling-sounds, and high-frequency words.

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) identifies evidence-based academic interventions that address the academic needs of students identified as needing Tier II and/or Tier III support using the MTSS Framework. The Mississippi Evidence-based Academic Interventions list approves SIPPS® as an effective foundational skills intervention for students in grades K–12.

In this session, educators will learn how this research-based, systematic decoding program helps striving readers quickly develop the accuracy and automaticity needed for fluent, independent reading. Grab a cup of coffee and join us as we discuss how the SIPPS® Program elevates students as readers. Registered attendees will receive a $5 coffee gift card.
