K-2 Reading Practice: Understanding the Role of Text in Foundational Skills Intervention

It is essential that students have opportunities to practice their burgeoning reading skills in connected text. Learn more about the features of decodable text that support that transfer of skills and when students have enough skills to begin to transition to more complex texts. Find out how to support students as they apply their newly learned skills in decodable texts first and then as they transition to trade books.
