Event Description

SEEDS of Learning: Strategies for Developing Oral Language and Vocabulary in Young Children

Every conversation with a child is a seed for their future literacy. Join us for an interactive session where we bridge the gap between "chatter" and "comprehension."

You'll leave with simple, high-impact routines from the SEEDS of Learning framework you can use tomorrow to help all children, including multilingual learners thrive!

  • Boost Vocabulary: Practice "Strive for 5" conversations and targeted instruction to help children acquire high-utility words.
  • Engaging Routines: Learn to use running commentary and SEEDS transition songs to maximize daily learning opportunities.
  • Support Multilingualism: Gain specific scaffolds to bridge home language mastery with school success.
  • Bridge to Writing: Implement the "Daily Sign-In" to build fine motor skills and letter formation through meaningful practice.
