SIPPS Professional Learning in Partnership with Deer Valley School District 

Are you currently implementing SIPPS or interested in learning more about the SIPPS program? If so, you’ll want to join Collaborative Classroom for this in-person professional learning opportunity designed for Arizona educators! 

Register to attend one or both sessions. 


Morning Session

Lesson Structure and Instructional Routines Overview 
This session is for all K–12 educators who want to learn about the pedagogy, structure, and intentional design of the SIPPS program, including those who are brand new to the program and current users looking for a refresher on SIPPS routines


Session Objectives:

  • Learn about SIPPS instruction across the levels.
  • Review the SIPPS program lesson structure.
  • Develop a method for practicing routines to build toward mastery.
  • Practice the instructional routines with colleagues.
Afternoon Session 

Instructional and Responsive Decision-Making, Data Collection, and In-Program Guidance
This session is for SIPPS users interested in an advanced learning experience. Participants will strengthen their instruction by going deeper into each of the SIPPS levels (Beginning, Extension, Challenge, and Plus for older readers). 


Session Objectives:
  • Explore the opportunities to collect data within the SIPPS program.
  • Consider the instructional decision-making guidance provided in the SIPPS materials.
  • Reflect on SIPPS program instruction.
  • Explore SIPPS supports for instructional decision-making.
  • Practice responsive instructional decision-making.

Note: Please park in the back parking lot of the building. 

Cost: $25 per session ($50 for the whole day). Includes breakfast, lunch, and materials. 
Payments Accepted: Credit card, e-check, or purchase orders. 

Intended Audience: Current SIPPS users and those interested in learning more about SIPPS.
Certificate: Attendees receive a certificate of attendance for each session upon completion (2.5 hours per session). 


Schedule

8–8:30 AM: Registration & Continental Breakfast/Coffee (provided)
8:30–11 AM: Morning Session
11:15 AM–12 PM: Lunch (provided) and Registration for the Afternoon Session
12–2:30 PM: Afternoon Session
