Empowering Writers: Strategies and Tools for Effective Writing Instruction in Grades 4 and Up

This interactive professional development event is designed to strengthen writing instruction. Participants will engage in practical sessions focused on using assessments to inform writing instruction, teaching foundational revision and editing skills, and providing targeted strategies for opinion, informative, and narrative writing. Through hands-on activities and real-world applications, attendees will walk away with ready-to-implement techniques, including rubrics, conferencing strategies, and genre-specific mini-lesson plans.
