Collaborative Coach Being a Reader 16-Week Cohort 2024-25

Welcome to the registration site for the Being a Reader 16-week cohort taking place between October 8, 2024 – March 11, 2025.

Cohort Details

  • Coaching is for all Being a Reader coaches and educators. 
  • Coaching activities focus on Small-Group Reading Sets 1–12. 
  • Participants must have access to their Learning Portal account. 
  • The time commitment is 18-20 hours. 
  • Certificates of completion for 20 clock hours will be provided to registrants who complete the cohort. 
  • Coaching activities will not take place between December 1, 2024–January 3, 2025. 

College Credit Option
Optional college credit is available for Collaborative Coach participants through Northwest Nazarene University (NNU)
  • Participants can earn 1 graduate-level credit for each eight-week cohort for an additional cost of $60 per credit.
  • Each credit is worth 15 continuing education hours, which can be applied toward recertification and license renewal. 
  • Participants may apply for the credit by registering through the NNU course catalog and paying the course registration fee. ​
  • The requirements for passing are that participants must pay for and finish the cohort, create eight (8) video responses, and complete one culminating activity that demonstrates the knowledge and skills they learned during the cohort.
  • As this is an extended cohort, you will have the opportunity to earn up to 2 credit hours, one in Fall and one in Winter. More information to come.

Fees and Payment

  • $650 per person for one coaching cohort. 
  • Payment options include purchase order (PO), e-check (ACH), or credit card (CC). 
  • If using a PO, please have the number ready and an electronic copy to upload. 
  • The Primary Contact listed on the registration will receive the invoice and communication related to billing and payments. 

Refund and Transfer Policies 

  • A refund is available if requested 30 days or more prior to the start date.
  • ​Refund requests must be made in writing to collabcoach@collaborativeclassroom.org.
  • ​​The deadline to request a refund is September 8, 2024. 
  • Transfers of registration are allowed within the first 7 days after the start date.  
  • Transfer requests must be made in writing to collabcoach@collaborativeclassroom.org.
  • The deadline to request a transfer is October 15, 2024.
