The Science of Reading in Practice
What is most essential for achieving success for all readers? This session focuses on unpacking research-based strategies for developing the skills and habits of mind that students need to become proficient and independent readers. We will explore best practices for instruction that address both word recognition and language comprehension. Participants will experience lessons from the Being a Reader program designed for Grades K-5.
