JUMP TO REGISTRATION FORM

Selecting a high-quality literacy curriculum is only the first step in the process of transforming literacy instruction in a district. What comes next - supporting teachers and leaders to implement that curriculum with intent and impact over time - is arguably the more important and consequential work. Real transformation happens in how a chosen curriculum comes to life in classrooms.

Grounded in the latest research from the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN), this interactive, 3-hour institute brings together regional, district, and school literacy leaders to explore the critical factors that bridge the gap between curriculum adoption and positive student results.

What We’ll Explore:

  • The Science of What Works: Demystify key implementation drivers—from coaching structures to administrative support—that turn curriculum potential into measurable literacy gains.
  • Leader-to-Leader Candid Exchange: Engage in practical, cross-district discussions on what works, what doesn’t, and how to navigate the messy middle of system-wide change.
  • Evaluating Your Implementation Health: Assess where your school or district sits along the implementation continuum and identify immediate leverage points for growth.
  • Building a Regional Network: Connect with local literacy peers to foster ongoing collaboration, share resources, and troubleshoot shared challenges long after the session ends.

Intent

Our purpose is to bring educational leaders together for an engaging combination of content, discussion, and collaboration, providing a space for authentic conversation and problem solving around a topic that is important to all of us. Together, we’ll examine what’s actually working on the ground, unpack the common challenges found in a curriculum rollout, and discuss how to build systems that support educators without burning them out.

Key Takeaways:
  • A practical framework for evaluating and supporting impactful curriculum implementation.
  • Actionable leadership strategies to increase teacher buy-in and sustainability.
  • A refreshed regional network of peer leaders driving literacy transformation.

Who Should Attend

District Literacy Directors, Assistant Superintendents of Curriculum & Instruction, Elementary/Secondary Literacy Specialists, Principals, and Instructional Coaches—whether you are currently expanding a rollout or evaluating new literacy solutions for your district.
