While poor NAEP scores have captured national attention, some districts have made gains in reading achievement during this challenging time. Join us to learn from three diverse school districts located across the country and their strategies for accelerating students’ foundational skills over the last few years. Hear about the programs that made a difference, the ways they structured their implementations, and how varying models, including MTSS, tutoring, and professional development, led to growth in student achievement.

Lenora Forsythe


Dr. Lenora Forsythe is Senior Manager of Educational Proposals and Pursuits at Collaborative Classroom. She earned her EdD in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Reading from the University of Central Florida (UCF). Her research emphasized professional learning for elementary school literacy coaches. She earned her Master’s degree in Reading Education from Nova Southeastern University and her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UCF. Lenora spent ten years teaching at the elementary school level, including literacy coaching and teaching first and third grades. Additionally, Lenora spent five years teaching undergraduate elementary education courses at UCF that focused on literacy.
