SIPPS LA State List - Tier 1: Exemplifies Quality

SIPPS® (Systematic Instruction in Phonological Awareness, Phonics, and Sight Words) is a research-based foundational skills program proven to help both new and struggling readers in grades K–12, including English learners and students identified with dyslexia. In this session, educators will learn how this research-based, systematic decoding program helps striving readers quickly develop the accuracy and automaticity needed for fluent, independent reading. Come join us and learn about how SIPPS elevates students as readers. 

Who Should Attend: Louisiana school administrators, ELA coaches, interventionists, and teachers.

About the Host

Elizabeth Sens is a Manager of Educational Partnerships at Collaborative Classroom. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana State University, and a Master’s degree in Education from Northwestern State University.

Elizabeth has over 14 years of experience in education. She has taught in the early elementary level in public schools, coached/mentored teachers, provided colleagues with professional development, and provided support and training for literacy coaches across Louisiana.

Elizabeth currently resides in New Orleans with her husband and two children.
