Using the Learning Portal to Foster Teacher Professional Learning


This virtual workshop is designed for administrators and coaches. Learn how to leverage the digital resources on the Learning Portal, including the Professional Learning System and Teacher Learning System, to foster teacher professional learning. This session will include time to connect the professional learning resources to your own work. These interactive sessions will not be recorded.

Meet the Facilitators


    

Facilitated by: Liz Weiermiller and Lisa Busalacchi

Liz Weiermiller
 is the Community Learning Manager for Collaborative Classroom. She has a passion for empowering teachers and building capacity to ensure an equitable education for all students. She has spent sixteen years in education as a classroom teacher, a Reading Recovery teacher, an instructional coach, an adjunct professor, and as a student teaching supervisor. Liz received her M.Ed. in Literacy Education from Nazareth College and her B.S. in Childhood Education from SUNY Cortland. She played a key role in the successful selection, adoption, and implementation of Collaborative Classroom’s literacy programs in her own district.

Lisa Busalacchi is the Community Success Manager for Collaborative Classroom. With over 15 years of experience, she has worked as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist, MTSS Coordinator, and administrator. She holds a B. S in Elementary Education from Grand Valley State University and a M.A in Educational Leadership from Michigan State University. Lisa is passionate about professional learning around literacy and creating communities where collaboration is encouraged and valued. She currently lives in Seattle, WA.
