Event Description

Collaborative Conversations on Leadership, School Culture, and Literacy Best Practice

There is no greater calling than being a school principal. Aspiring school leaders are invited to join us for collaborative conversations about best practices and to learn from current school leaders. These sessions are complimentary and will not be recorded.

Schedule of Spring Sessions

Session 1: Cultivating a Caring Adult Community
Friday, April 22 at 10:00 AM ET
Join us as we engage in an open discussion about strategies, ideas, and resources for creating strong and caring adult communities within our schools and districts. Hear directly from a leader about doing the work to change the system. Think about how to retain talent and leave with concrete strategies for improving conditions for teachers in authentic and meaningful ways.

Session 2: Cultivating a Caring School Community
Friday, May 20 at 10:00 AM ET
Using the "Teaching the Whole Child" AIR Brief, we will explore strategies, ideas, and resources for strengthening student connections to one another and the larger school community. Hear directly from a leader who is transforming the learning environment for students by prioritizing their social and emotional development. Walk away with tools and techniques for applying the learning in your own community.
